Job: Continuous Improvement Project Leader
Group/Team: Hill-Rom, Liko AB

Reports to: Site Leader
BACKGROUND
Liko has been a part of Hill-Rom since 2008.
As an expert in the field of patient transfer and lifting solutions, founded in 1979 by Swedish engineer and designer Gunnar Liljedahl, Liko's expertise is based on over 30 years in business, specialising in products for the safe lifting and transfer of patients in the healthcare environment. The Liko brand portfolio includes high quality and innovative lifts, slings, transfer aids and lift accessories.
Today, Liko is fully integrated in the Hill-Rom organization and has transformed from an entrepreneurial and product oriented company to a global company. The site in Luleå is shifting it 's focus from product to production to become even more efficient and capable to supply the global market with high quality products. To reinforce the efforts in this change, Liko is now looking to hire a Continuous Improvement Project Leader to take the lead in developing the continuous improvement.
THE ROLE AS CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT LEADER
The main purpose of the position is to plan, implement and qualify improvement modifications and lead the development of continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing on the site
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Organize, lead and participate in continuous improvement activities to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory performance
• Create project plans for continuous improvement
• Identify gaps in the organization and develop plans to improve
• Develop and implement strategies for improvement across all functions
• Support managers and integrate the teams concerned by the continuous improvement changes
• Coordinate tasks with internal and/or external service providers
• Coordinate training (for example Green Belt and Lean methods)
• Be an active member of Hill-Roms global Continuous Improvement network and share best practices with other sites
• Be part of developing KPI:s for continuous improvement, efficiency and productivity
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or a related field.
• Experience: Several years of manufacturing operations experience, preferably in Pharmaceuticals or related field. Several years of knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen principles
• Skills/Qualifications: Six Sigma/Lean tools, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Must be fluent in Swedish and English
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Competencies:

• Must be approachable
• Ability to drive continuous improvement
• Team orientation/strong team player
• Detailed-oriented with the ability to work under tight deadlines
• Effective time management, problem solving and decision-making skills
