HIL - Test Engineer

The section Crash and Strength testing is responsible for facilities, test equipment and operation of test rigs. We deliver essential data in the form of measurement/test reports, measured data, photos and films to internal and external customers. We are also responsible for maintaining and updating the test equipment as well as for new investments in our labs. The group Durability and Strength testing that you will be a part of are responsible for advanced test equipment and to perform testing in test lab and test tracks to verify vehicle suspension, steering system, powertrain installation, car body, safety system, interior, climatic system, etc.
We are now looking for a HIL-Test Engineer (HIL=Hardware In the Loop) to support the development of testing with active systems. As HIL-Test Engineer you will develop and customise the models needed to control and communicate with the active components. You will also develop test rigs for active systems within Strength and Durability Lab.

Main responsibilities

• Develop HIL-environment using dSpace tools and simulink models
• Develop models in Simulink/State Flow to simulate vehicle properties, electrical systems and their environment
• Together with test and design engineers develop and design test equipment needed to support strength and durability testing of interior and exterior vehicle systems
• Design, implement, verify and maintain test scripts for test automation on dSpace HIL equipment
• Responsible for existing EPAS HIL- test rig
• Represent durability testing in forums for model based development

Required qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. within Electrical, Electronic or related Engineering field
• To be proficient in modeling, simulation, troubleshooting and analysis of the car's electrical system
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
• Documented experience from model based development and/or development and testing of embedded systems is meritorious
• Knowledgeable in CANoe, Simulink, dSpace and Python is meritorious
• Previous testing experience will be an asset
