The best place to work in the Global Automotive Industry
Join us on this exciting journey into the future, we want to hear from You!

The future belongs to those who are empowered by a great idea and have the ability to carry it out. At Volvo Cars our mission is clear: "To be the world's most progressive and desired premium car company and to make people's life less complicated". We have bold targets when it comes to innovation, sales and customer satisfaction and to make this happen, we need talented people on-board. People that want to make a difference and create the next generation Volvo cars in a global, dynamic and respectful environment. At Vehicle Software & Electronics, we are responsible for developing a great user experience based on the real customer needs realized in the electrical system.

HIL Engineer within Software and Electronics
This is where we develop the virtual test environment of the future with the latest technology in Volvo Cars complete electrical system! If you would you want to work with the big picture and still have the opportunity to dive into the details, then this is the place for you! We have the responsibility to develop and maintain HIL rigs (Hardware in the Loop) at complete vehicle level. In order to test the vehicles software in early phases, we build HIL rigs for several different car projects. The purpose of HIL is to stimulate the system and its components to believe they are sitting in a real vehicle with all their dynamics. This is achieved by simulating environmental models that execute in real time in dSpace HIL. We secure that the HIL rigs can be updated with new technology to support future projects such as electrification and autonomous vehicles.

As a HIL engineer, you work with continuous improvements regarding test automation, modelling in Simulink and HIL solutions. You get a broad understanding of Volvo Cars Vehicle systems and electrical functions. You will also work with other groups at Volvo, our suppliers and create a wide network. The role gives you a varied and challenging working environment. Together with your colleagues, you will further develop the HIL concept to enable test automation and "Continuous Integration".

Do you fit the profile?

As a person you are curious and like to solve problems. You are flexible and can handle multiple parallel tasks at the same time as well as being social and work effectively together with others to achieve results. You are driven, quality conscious and like questions about the improvement of methods and processes.
