Polestar is blazing a new trail, dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance. Your experience as a HIL Engineer in our Software Test team would be invaluable to us both in concept work and when working with current designs for increased customer satisfaction.

What you'll do

The Software Test team is a part of the Polestar Software Integration and Test Group, which is a team with a mission to deliver results which exceed the customers' expectations. The team consists of HIL Engineers, HIL Developers and Test Engineers. The area of responsibility of the team is the combination of multiple areas like HIL rig development, test execution in rigs as well as HIL Simulations etc. Your responsibilities will be:

• Design and Construct HILs according to needs
• Propose solutions as well as bring support to define requirements to the present and future plans of Polestar Cars in the growing area of HIL
• As HIL Engineer you will build and maintain a wide personal network within R&D
• You will support our internal customers in a way that makes HIL usage effective and successful
• Support the projects and teams in the day-to-day work by building or/maintaining the different types of HIL rigs like component, sub-system, complete vehicle etc.

Who you are

You have a strong will to create the future of electric vehicles - it's probably fair to call you an EV nerd passionate about solving climate changes. You are enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized and driven. You're not afraid to try new approaches and out of the box methods. You have a holistic view, including vision, business, and customers. You are a fast learner and are not afraid of addressing tough challenges.

To be successful in this role, we believe you have:

• Relevant technical education and background
• You have good knowledge within Matlab/Simulink/Python/Vector tools in particular
• knowledge in INCA or dSpace HW or NI HW will be good to have
• Experience of HIL (both HW and SW), HIL build, work experience from the automotive industry
• Communicative and collaborative
• Ability to drive change and implementation and to engage and encourage others
• Structured, methodical, and analytical with good planning skills.
