ABOUT THE POSITION
You will belong to the HR & Strategy team. A team of highly skilled colleagues working with the overall business strategy of Group Real Estate, HR and - of course - with Health & Safety (H&S). In essence, we design and implement strategies that will attract, engage and develop our people, meanwhile keeping them healthy and safe!
As H&S Manager you will have a global responsibility - with a local flavour since we have most of our employees in Sweden. We are a global organization, with employees in 35 countries, so you can imagine that you spend a lot of time talking to colleagues also outside of Sweden.
The main mission of the position is to manage H&S within Volvo Group Real Estate. It 's about initiating and driving the development of H&S strategies and continuous improvement programs to improve H&S leadership, safety culture, standards and procedures. You will support och advise the GRE organization on safety incidents and preventive actions. You are the subject matter expert on root-cause analysis and support on incident classification and investigation (loss time accidents, severe incidents and/or life altering injuries etc.) You will also manage the Swedish H&S agenda, incl. legal compliance (AML etc.) and coordination and planning of the GRE Work Environment council (AMK). There is even more to it - and you will get the full picture during the interview! You will report to the VP HR & Strategy.
WHO ARE YOU?
To add value in this position you need to be service minded with a strong stakeholder focus. You are well organized, can manage your workload and have excellent communication and networking skills. You believe in yourself and what you do - and you are a really good listener. But most of all, you are a true team player and you contribute with good team spirit.
You understand how H&S can add value to the organization and how to coach leaders during change. We are on a VPS (Volvo Production System/Lean) journey, and therefore skills from this area is important. You are also interested in understanding the business you work within, you drive for results and have an ability to work effectively in a global matrix organization with a broad range of stakeholders.
To be really successful in your new role we also want you have an university degree in relevant area. A minimum of 5 years of experience is needed, with the ability to demonstrate and develop deep knowledge and understanding within the area of H&S. Experience from the real estate area is of course meritorious, as well as relevant experience from working with Occupational Health Care.
