An explicit message in the Vattenfall Strategy is "Fossil Free within One Generation" and that sustainability is our business, extending beyond climate. Health and Safety fits perfectly within the social responsibility component of sustainability, placing Health and Safety at the heart of Vattenfall's strategy. Would you like to join us for this unique opportunity right now?
This is a new position located in Sweden. The H&S Controller will belong to H&S at Vattenfall Group and be part of Center of Excellence.
The person we are looking for will hold the position as a controller within Health and Safety. Data compilation and analytics has a lot to offer in any industrial company from an efficiency, safety, health and cost-savings perspective. Vattenfall like many other businesses, is undergoing a digital transformation, driven by connectivity and data. H&S data analytics combines and processes data from multiple sources to make fact-based decisions that boost safety, health and productivity/efficiency. The H&S controller will play an important role in this development within Vattenfall.
Through data, health and safety professionals can better visualize a situation, objectively identify a problem and develop a well-informed solution. Going one step further, analyzing H&S data helps predict future events and mitigate health and safety incidents. H&S data can also be used to optimize operations e.g. data can be used to proactively schedule supervision of projects to ensure efficient and safe operations (critical controls being in place) and be a true driver of culture.

Included in this is digitalization of H&S reports and set-up of dashboards for Critical Control management. Seven H&S reporting systems are in use within Vattenfall, the successful candidate must be able to create standards and cooperate with many stakeholders. One of the H&S reporting systems, Intelex, will be administrated and developed by this function. Knowledge/use of Intelex, IA system and PowerBI is a very good merit. Finally, an important component of successfully implementing and using a H&S reporting system is employee education and communication. The role should put effort into educating H&S reporting system gatekeepers and on the purpose of deploying this system and securing data quality.
