Head of Web Platform (Temporary leave cover)
Selling cars online - easy right? At Lynk & Co the website is our primary sales channel and storefront. It is where we as a brand meet our customer, both business and private. We are hiring a visionary Head of Web Platform to lead our ambitious Web Platform team and continue shaping the roadmap ahead.
This is a temporary position (up to one year) and can be based in either Gothenburg, Amsterdam or Barcelona.
What you'll do
As Head of Web Platform, you will be responsible for shaping the strategy and vision, both business and technical, for the Web Platform while growing and leading the team. You will provide direction and be a sounding board for solutions as the team develops new experiences and leverages new technologies. You will be managing an experienced team of product and development professionals while ensuring that the team has the optimum conditions to do their job
Responsibilities include:
• Serve as visionary for Web Platform, providing leadership and driving big picture strategy
• Develop a compelling platform roadmap based on customer needs and strategic opportunities
• Grow the team to ensure sufficient capacity and continuous delivery of Web Platform roadmap
• Serve as line manager to 10+ team members across Gothenburg, Amsterdam, and Barcelona
• Source external suppliers (workpackage, headcount, and technologies) to support Web Platform roadmap and ambitions
• Secure necessary staffing for the team as well as control of the budget for department scope
• Promote knowledge sharing forums within the team to ensure best practices exist and are documented
• Contribute as part of Business Technology Management Team
What you should have
You are an experienced web leader with a technical background and strong product instincts. You thrive on cross-functional collaboration and actively work to improve the people, product, and process on your team and beyond.
• Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience working in Product Management, eCommerce, Digital, or IT
• At least 2 years experience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, and motivating direct reports in their daily work
• Passionate about investing in individuals with proven competences leading and motivating a team
• Experience working with web technologies - React, Sitecore or other headless CMS is a plus
• Experience in working in an international/multi cultural environment
• Positive doer mindset, someone who embraces new challenges and changes
