hela Sverige Scania Connected Services develop software targeting the connected vehicle, delivering functionality like real time positioning and fleet management solutions, as well as complex analytic services for fuel- and maintenance optimisation.
We are currently exploring parts of the transport industry in the context of the ongoing IoT transformation where technology is evolving at a pace not seen since the industrial revolution. For us this means to understand and leverage our business by understanding a collective hive of intelligent and connected trucks.
To strengthen our capability to develop services based on technologies within the data science area we are now searching for a new group manager with a big interest in coaching high performing teams to the next level. Teamwork and technical aspects are important, but also creating the best pre-requisites for the team to take lead and continue to discover new insights within research projects based on our data, explore customer experience and create IT-structure to perform analytic services in big scale towards end customer.
Your task
With a good understanding of the customer needs you are leading the teams of 20 employees through a strategic perspective. You are responsible for the whole development cycle in the area, i.e. research, pre-development, development and operation. In the daily work, together with the teams, you solve challenges and achieve common goals with engagement and inducement.
You are also part of the management team for the department Transport Efficiency Tools that have the mission to create system solutions that make the transport company more efficient, profitable and sustainable based on connectivity.
Your profile
We imagine that you are highly interested in developing people and having good academic or technical understanding with an engagement in new technologies. You have previous experience in lean or agile methods, test-driven development, continuous deployment and in data science area.
Cooperation with many people and creating new networks is natural for you. Diversity is equally important as competence when you are creating teams and employing employees, all to ensure that your teams' solutions are innovative and state of the art.
Relevant education is MSc within Computer Science, Engineering Physics or equally.
