hela Sverige Moleculent is now hiring a system lead to head our system development. You will lead our systems team from concept development to launch of a first-class instrument for life science analysis.
Moleculent is on a mission to develop advanced technology-enabled products that leverage new insights into the molecular foundation of human biology. About the position
As Head of System Development, you will coordinate the development, organization, execution and launch of Moleculents first-class system.
You will work closely with our CTO and CEO to plan, implement, and oversee all aspects of engineering operations, procedures, goals, and strategy within Moleculent. You will provide both operational and technical guidance as well as expertise on the system development. You will be highly engaged in technical activities to ensure sound, effective engineering solutions. You will also manage the engineering budget to meet and forecast expense targets.
You will be responsible for managing and recruiting a team of the highest talent within the field. You will provide inspirational leadership to the team in order to drive the development of the group.
The team includes hardware, software, fluidics, optics, hardware, embedded software and project management.
Your profile
To fit the role, you have a MSc and optionally PhD in physics, mechanical engineering, systems engineering or electronic engineering or other similar engineering degree. Fluent written and spoken English and excellent communication and computer skills is a requirement.
You have extensive experience in successfully managing a product development team from start to launch of an analytical system for life science analysis, preferably with fluidic and optical components. You are skilled at planning and managing a system development project including cross-functional integration complexity and timeline dependencies.
Further required skills include:
• Technical expertise in one area of the system: mechanical engineering, optics, fluidics or software.
• Documented management experience of a team with at least 10 members.
• Experience in budget and resource planning
• Experience in recruiting a high-performance team
