We are looking for the Head of System Design and Integration & Verification (I&V) within the Product Unit Surface Radar Solutions. As Head of System Design and I&V you will be part of the Product Unit Management Team and report to Head of Product Unit. In the Management Team each member contributes with their individual experiences and skills to create an effective and dynamic environment. You are expected not only to work with your individual area of responsibility, being a member of the Product Unit Management Team also means that you interact and take part in other units' challenges.You like being in situations where you face customers. You will have managerial responsibility for an underlying structure comprised of one level of managers currently structured in 1 I&V unit and 2 System Design units, which means that you are required to have the ability to lead through leaders.
You will be Head of System Design and I&V, the Section will have around 55 employees. Your management team currently consist of 3 managers reporting to you.
The responsibility includes:
* Developing technical aspects of the product unit's strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
* Coach and lead your management team towards agreed organizational goals and strategies
* System design for the complete surface portfolio
* System I&V for the complete surface portfolio
* Develop and manage Technical Roadmaps
* Supervise system architecture to ensure functionality and efficiency
* Activly participate in The Integrated Product Creation-process
* Activly participate in Bid Work
Your profile

What you will be a part of
Surveillance provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and C4I solutions, and traffic management systems.
Business Unit Radar Solutions has global responsibility for Saab's ground based and naval radar systems, as well as airborne surveillance solutions and fighter radar. The business unit is also responsible for missile data links and laser range finders. The unit has around 1100 employees and offices around the world, with the largest sites being Gothenburg (SE) and Syracuse (US).
Product Unit Surface Radar Solutions is responsible for profit & loss of our surface radar portfolio including both systems sales and services business. The unit has around 100 employees with several support offices around the world. The main site is Gothenburg.
