In this role you be responsible for leading and implementing supply chain initiatives and strategies for the local business unit. Your mission will be to ensure best total cost, minimize commercial risks in the supply chain, establish and negotiate supplier for agreements, and to, together with your team, build long-term strategies and relationships with our external and internal suppliers to enable a business driven SCM contribution to these units.

The SCM function will be involved both in our tender and project execution phases, through pro-active collaboration within our bid and project teams. As the manager for this function, you will also ensure that suppliers and subcontractors are qualified and regularly evaluated and developed based on their performance. As part of the ABB Group extensive network, you will work with suppliers from several countries and have great opportunities for professional growth. You will report directly to the Local Product Group Manager and indirectly to the HUB Northern Europe Supply Chain Manager.

This role is accountable for the unit's sourcing strategy. You will implement effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements. Ensure all relevant parties understand strategies and execute accordingly. In addition, you will ensure the alignment between local SCM activities and the SCM centers.

In accordance with guidelines, your job is also to implement programs to drive improvement in cost, quality and delivery. This includes manage planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecasts. You will also ensure that buyers minimize risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and Company guidelines. You will also define and establish local standard agreements with all major local suppliers.

A strong sense of ownership and accountability will help you take responsibility for reviewing and controlling the SCM processes and activities. This means that you will monitor and report on internal and supplier key performance indicators (KPIs) that include cost reduction, supplier on-time deliveries, development plans, risk mitigation, and quality issues, among others. You will proactively work to resolve issues that come up and ensure that proper development actions are taken.

Lastly, you will have people leadership and development responsibilities. As a leader of a team of SCM specialists you will make sure that the SCM area is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. This role includes guiding, motivating, and developing direct and indirect subordinates. You are also responsible for coordinating SCM talent management and succession planning.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience within SCM. A Master's degree is considered additional value, as is additional relevant experience. It is preferred that you have experience from turnkey project sourcing and site service/installation contractors. You should have some leadership experience and display strong communication and negotiation skills, in addition to strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Furthermore, you must be proficient in Swedish and English, written and spoken alike.
