Join and make us reach the Clouds! By becoming our Head of Solution Line Distributed Cloud reporting to the Head of Solution Area (SA) Cloud and Network Function Virtualization Infrastructure, also member of the SA Leadership Team.
You will drive the full Distributed Cloud portfolio for the SA, growing an Ericsson Business.
The role includes accountability for the portfolio decisions and related business. This is not limited to business plans, business models, budget, acquisition decisions, 'make/buy(partner)' decisions, usage of Open Source components as well as architecture, platform, and system design. The target is to build a Product and Solutions business for both the Telco and IT parts of the Operator, with a strong Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach.
What you will do
• Get things done both within the solution area e.g. development of certain products and partner management, as well as through placing demands/assignments on other product development units (e.g. EO, CENX) and Service Delivery Organizations
• Manage product(s), services and solutions from strategy to end of life. The product(s), services and solutions should go beyond expectations from the market and to the benefits of Ericsson, from profitability and working capital perspectives, considering dependencies and prioritizations within Ericsson
• Secure Ericsson technology and service leadership, right scope, quality, time and cost for products and solutions
• To teach, coach and challenge, develop individuals, teams and organizations and foster an innovative and learning culture
Another key focus area is how to connect R&D with customers. Concepts like 'DevOps' are to be explored and implemented with the purpose to create an organization that supports TTM, efficiency (do the right things) and Solution Differentiation in the early business life cycle phases. In parallel with this, a re-use and scale focus is important to optimize profitability for later phases in the life cycle. For all the phases in the life cycle, this unit needs to be part of building a life-cycle business together including services (CS, SI, MS, XaaS).
Key Responsibilities
• Drive Ericsson Distributed Cloud Strategy
• e2e business model including Customer Support and LCM
• Manage the Distributed Cloud portfolio including structuring work and collaborating with relevant units such as PDU Cloud, SDU, other SA etc
• Accelerate business growth for Distributed Cloud with leading customers.
• Establish, drive and complete strategic partnerships such as Intel
• Drive and execute actions to secure the portfolio positioning in the Market Areas
• Drive and implement C-level engagement programs for strategic customers
• Drive and execute relevant activities in standardization and open source fora, propose and develop standardization and open source SODs and define priorities
• Support market activities and customer engagements, including business developments and pre-sales efforts, with technical expertise
• Perform studies for new areas or topics
• Drive industry positioning and marketing engagements to demonstrate Ericsson leadership in technology and services within the Distributed Cloud space
The expectation of the role is to work proactively and in an inclusive way with all stakeholders to ensure all input is considered and creating alignment for, and execution of one common Distributed Cloud strategy short- and long-term.
You will bring
• A collaborative and inclusive leadership approach (experience interacting with Executives. Comfortable trusting other units as well as strongly empower own unit)
• Extensive knowledge and successful track records in leading teams working with Cloud strategy, technology, and business development
• Outstanding presentation and verbal skills, with technology evangelization experience
• Strong track records in customer focused engagements and value creations
• Solid experience in driving strategy, technology, and business development engagements for Ericsson Cloud based solutions
• Solid experience in strategy development, solution developments, business developments, product development and services portfolio and knowledge in associated processes, methods, and tools
• Experience of both Product and Services business as well as Service Delivery
• Experience and insights in how mobile network applications work in a cloud environment, as well as Enterprise use cases and applications
• Education: Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent
