hela Sverige H2 Green Steel is here to accelerate the greatest single technological shift that the global steel industry has ever seen. With the enabling from green hydrogen, and a transformation of the entire value chain, the industry now has a historic opportunity to enable the global climate transition.
Our purpose is to decarbonize hard-to-abate industries, and we are starting with steel. We are building a new industrial group from scratch and have already achieved huge milestones and traction in the market. The first H2GS Project is located in Boden in northern Sweden and consists of a first-of-its-kind Green Steel Plant. The blueprint plant will produce 2.5 million tons of steel in phase 1 with planned end-to-end production in 2026. The plant will be further expanded in phase 2 to 5 million tons of steel. The plant consists of three connected facilities using green electricity:
• 700 MW hydrogen production facility consisting of several types of hydrogen production technologies.
• 2.1 MT DRI Production Facility using hydrogen instead of syngas or natural gas.
• 2.5 MT Steelmaking and CSP Facility combining concepts from around the globe to secure quality and efficiency by using a large degree of automation and continuous flow of production.
H2 Green Steel is finalizing financing of phase 1 which amounts to roughly 5 billion Euro and consists of a mix between debt financing and investment. H2 Green Steel is now Looking for a Head of Site Execution.
Responsibilities include:
Develop ways of working in how to drive and manage mega projects
Ensure full transparency on schedule, cost, and safety for the project
Build a strong, cross-functional, and diverse team to deliver on above
Close key construction contracts in line with investor and project requirements
Ensure efficient follow-up and management of such contracts
Deliver the Boden project to the local Operations team at end of cold commissioning
Prepare the team for further expansion
Secure sufficient stakeholder management, from local residents to Board and investors
Requirements:
Successful track-record and substantial experience of execution of large industrial projects.
Successful track-record of building, transforming and/or developing large project teams and organizations.
Well-rounded visionary, strategic and operational leadership capability with a track record of impactful leadership vertically and horizontally.
Data-driven approach to decision making and a well established strategic mindset.
A relevant university degree in Construction, Engineering or similar
