The Electronics department is reinforcing the focus on Semiconductors; therefore, we are looking for an experienced leader for the Semiconductors Team! In this role, you will be responsible of leading the strategic scope of Semiconductors to support our transformation journey in the field of Electronics. We see a constant growth of the electronics content in our products to support the Volvo Group ambition in the years to come. In parallel, we see a fast evolution of the market dynamics because of this growth combined with the recent global Semiconductor shortage which has been forcing all players to adapt its business models. This will require that you are extremely well connected with your x-functional stakeholders, with an ability to see the end-to-end perspective at company level. You will also have to both manage and be part of several ecosystems, cross-departments and cross-functions, aiming at maturing our business models and strategy. The semiconductors strategy is a key enabler to secure both our technology development and associated software strategy as well as developing a resilient supply chain. It has a strong impact in many areas and organizations such as Electronics, Autonomous, Electromobility, and Powertrain, therefore, it is very important to be well connected to all ecosystems both internally and externally.
Talking about being good at building relationships, it is essential to be able to build and maintain trustful and healthy supply partner relationships. With well-functioning interactions we believe that we easier support our business and develop sustainable long-term relationships with our supply chain partners. As Head of Semiconductor Purchasing, you will have responsibility for the strategic leadership of your commodity globally. We believe that someone that loves to work as a leader in a multicultural context with a high pace and that enjoys cooperating with various functions will also love and excel at this job.
