The BTEB IoT Operations Head of Security Operations drives and leads the security strategy and execution, providing leadership and vision to the security organization, improves market and employee trust in Ericsson's security brand by recognizing emerging trends, risk, business needs and transforming them into Security Strategy and solutions.
Inspires the security organization to create business enabling solutions, methods, and tools to support Ericsson's business operations, provides leadership and decision making in stressful situations such as crisis and/or difficult investigations, challenges how things are done to create trust, business value and achieve results.
The IoT Head of Security Operations is required to operationally manage the Security Operations Center (SOC) while exercising composure, professionalism and teamwork during incidents and problem investigations. They are also to govern the compliance, risk management and privacy management while being an advisor, reporting risks and driving innovation towards the Head of BTEB IoT Security Management and the Service Line Heads of Security Development. This includes managing the BTEB IoT Security Operations unit and the direct reports.
Roles & Responsibilities
Active member of the BTEB IoT Operations Leadership team, driving delivery of the overall business objectives, including cross-unit, cross Business Area (BA) and Market Area Collaboration objectives.
Accountable for the financial performance and reporting for the Security Operations function, including reporting of savings targets reached and end to end cost control, reporting monthly and overall target achievement.
Accountable for ensuring departmental budgets are correctly established and forecasted in-line with company financial directives.
Accountable to Plan, implement and follow up on lowest-cost-of-sales structure in the, Security Operations function, to meet the overall business requirements.
Accountable to manage the daily operations and effectiveness of the Security Operations Center (SOC) Support, overseeing incident response activities and act as the senior escalation point in the Security Operations for the SOC unit, ensuring that discretion and confidentiality on a need-to-know basis is exercised when investigations are performed.
Responsible to ensure security governance is fully adhered too across all services within Service Operations; Ensure that operations are ISMS and ISO 27K compliant and any product requirement gaps are reported and aligned with the Design Unit (DU) Security function.
Responsible to provide the risk awareness of each Service offering to the Head of BTEB Security Management and Heads of DU Security for steering at the Security & Compliance Information Forum (SCIF).
Responsible to act as an advisor and partner to Head of Security Development regarding security risks; work collaboratively with impacted parties to assess business drivers and provide recommendations.
Design & continuous optimization of the security operations blueprint, which are to be aligned as a common delivery model for all IoT Services, benchmarked against Ericsson Group and industry best practices, including being compliant with all corporate and regulatory standards and contractual requirements.
Manage and enhance the tools (SIEM/EDR), tactics, processes and techniques used within the SOC associated with cyber threats and the ability to develop relevant alerting, countermeasures, and threat hunting techniques; lead in the assessment, architecture and implementation of security technologies
Be a member of the Change Management Board to support with SOC readiness and security compliance decisions.
Responsible to ensure that the required IS/IT investments and projects are in place to support Service Delivery for our customer deliveries / support, existing and new business.
Accountable to ensure that training is provided for the BTEB IoT Security Operations Unit, in-line with business requirements and end customers according to business requests and forecast.
Responsible for the End to End Recruitment process for BTEB IoT Security Operations Unit.
Accountable to provide support and coaching to the 1st line and staff under his/her control. Also establish robust development plans for all staff and succession plans are also in place for all positions within the BTEB IoT Security Operations Unit.
Accountable to perform Individual Performance Management (IPM) for all staff under their control, in-line with the Global People directives and company ways of working, ensuring regular follow-up and reviews.
