This is part of the role We are looking for a highly engaged Head of Securities Brokerage Operations. You will organize, develop, and manage a high-functioning operations organization within the Securities Brokerage.
In this role, you will operate on both a strategic and tactical level. You will contribute to a scalable pan-European operating platform by facilitating business development and driving change and innovation alongside Business Owners, Product Owners, and other key internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will represent Securities Brokerage in relevant industry forums and conferences and maintain strong relationships across all departments within Nordnet, including country organizations, Tech & Product, Risk, Compliance, and Legal.
The role includes

Organizing, developing, and managing a multi-level operations organization.

Driving process efficiency, innovation, and career development opportunities for your staff to foster high employee engagement.

Managing the budgeting and forecasting processes for the department, engaging in responsible cost control.

Ensuring daily operations align with agreed service levels, business objectives, and internal/external regulatory guidelines.

Identifying, documenting, and actively managing operational risks and incidents through relevant control designs.

Regularly updating internal rule frameworks for which you act as the document owner.

You are a strategic thinker capable of driving organizational change and establishing competitive advantages through improved processes, while keeping a steady focus on customer satisfaction and profitability.
You have strong communication and relationship-building skills as you will represent the division across senior leadership tiers and industry forums alike.
To succeed in the role you have experience of:

Developing and managing multi-level organizations within finance and operations.

Deep knowledge across multiple areas of back-office operations, including clearing, settlement, and corporate actions.

Comprehensive understanding of European operational flows (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Germany).

Evaluation of operational processes and the implementation of process improvements or new technologies.

Significant experience in a revenue-generating and/or client-facing role with customer accountability.

A University degree in Finance (or equivalent), or at least 10 years of relevant job experience within the financial sector.

Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
