We are now looking for a passionate hands-on leader with knowledge and competence in Cloud domain and SW development paired with great people skills and SW developer expertise, a leader who cares about well-crafted software and building a great environment for the people that build it.
In vCU (virtual Central Unit) we are responsible for control plane and user plane of the Central Unit in Cloud RAN. We are working towards the world's largest and leading global operators.
In this newly formed unit, we embrace a start-up mentality to deliver a product with great customer experience and increased organizational efficiency, making creative and out-of-the box leaders an excellent fit.
What you will do
You will secure Ericsson technology leadership in vCU Cloud RAN area by development and test and integration of vCU:
• vCU Design unit
• vCU Design integration and test
• vCU test strategies
• vCU RFI/RFP/RFQ support and
• Customer interactions
• Capability management
• Cloud RAN/vCU flow
• Build and retain competence including cloud technologies
• Ensure the vCU solution meets product feature and performance requirements, quality requirements, according to committed schedules
• Collaborate with Product Line regarding product evolution and feature roadmap
• People and budget responsibilities
• Flow/Pipeline DevOps (Staging & Operation)
• Simulator development for test of vCU in cooperation with ESP
• Analytics and AI/ML
• Automation Framework
You will work closely with the rest of the unit and also other Product Development Groups in our PDU to ensure that the entire program works towards common goals. Also, we want to deliver a cohesive Ericsson offering so close collaboration across DNEW is needed and expected. The section will consist of 30+ including subcontractors.
In this role you will report to Head of vCU Sector and be part of the vCU Leadership team.
