Volvo Cars is on a transformation journey from a traditional wholesale business model to a digital online D2C (Direct to Consumer) business model. Requiring new capabilities both commercially and technically.
The Sales Operations team in the Car Service Business organization is responsible for how Volvo Cars is selling Spare Parts and Services with the aim to develop fit for purpose sales channels that makes the life of both professional and private customers less complicated.
You will be based in our office in Gothenburg.

What will you do
You will lead a team with the purpose to secure fit for purpose sales channels, all the way from how the offers are created, to customers buying spare parts and services as well as handling payments and deliveries. This encompasses traditional sales through our Authorized network, but also new online sales channels to both private consumers and B2B (Business to Business) customers.
You will be part of the Car Service Commercial Management Team and be responsible to set the overall strategic direction for the Sales Operations area. While setting out the strategic direction, you will also actively lead or participate in the different projects.
Your responsibility will not be limited to only guide your team to develop the sales channels, but also support the local markets in operating them. Especially for the D2C online sales channels you will support with sales and marketing, digital analytics, customer support and finance processes.
You will also be working very close with Digital to build new online capabilities which require collaboration with many different Stakeholder and parts of the Volvo organization. You will therefore drive cross-functional projects that span across Logistics, Finance, Legal, Regulatory Affairs and many others.

What you'll bring
We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of the complex commercial landscape in the Automotive aftermarket, covering both the authorized repaired network and the independent aftermarket (IAM).
We believe you have...

• You have experience of leading teams.
• Experience of building and operating digital online sales channels.
• A strong understanding of the digital landscape needed to safeguard an efficient sales process.
• Ability to drive cross-functional initiatives that cover the complete value chain.
• Experience from driving transformation and challenge the established way of doing business.
• Experience of both D2C and wholesales business models.
• Experience from both OE perspective as well as from independent aftermarket players are valuable.

You have a great financial and business understanding, previously worked in a commercial environment and are dedicated to creating hands on customer value in everything you do. Even when working with internal processes and stakeholders, you understand their effect on the customer and how to maximize customer value in the most efficient way.
