We are looking for a recognized "guru" within Quality Assurance that can develop and identify new possibilities globally. You can identify new and different ways to apply best practices and current trends to address issues. We are looking for a person with strategic visioning, great impact and excellent communication skills.
The candidate will:
* Implement organization strategies through the effective direction and management of resources, while being accountable for the business strategies, functional or operational areas, processes or programs.
* Responsible and accountable for managing and developing a team of people, setting direction and deploying resources on varying projects, participating in organization-wide projects
* Create, execute and maintain tests according to test scripts and test plans.
* Required to test either front end or back end software components (or both) and apply industry best practice.
* Reviews system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, and debugs software solutions.
* Report issues found back to development and/or project management teams and/or implementation teams.
Leads QA/Test Analysts in a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards, development specifications or client requirements.
* Reviews and approves test plans and scripts; leads others in the creation of test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow.
* Provides final review and control over test systems and source code.
* Reviews and approves the release engineering procedures and Test/QA Procedures consistent with global IT strategy.
Business Process Improvement role:
* Takes the lead on process improvement for any Nasdaq large project oriented re-engineering efforts globally.
* Analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable and quantifiable business process improvements which impact the business globally.
* Collects and analyzes process data to make recommendations on improved business practices and procedures and drives sustainable change across Nasdaq.
* Determines how new information technologies can support reengineering business processes and influences global thinking on NASDAQ business processes.
* Oversees the performance and results of diverse teams, disciplines, or departments.
