About the role
We are looking for a Head of Product Design to join our amazing team. You will be working closely with the product and engineering leadership to shape the future of our commercial platform and consumer service offering and create a world-class end-to-end e-commerce experience.
You'll have the space to envision, create, and integrate your design philosophy across our products. You'll emphatically communicate your vision throughout Budbee, inspiring others to promote and uphold the same modern standards that you're used to working to as you help lead Budbee to achieve a more emotionally-aware set of products. While assembling your design team you will be an integral part of the Discovery & Design-process, working hands-on and being involved in the day-to-day work near the product and inspire the individual delivery teams in evolving our features and end-user experiences.
What you'll do
• Together with the rest of the product leadership team you will be a part of defining our strategic direction and shaping the future of Budbee.
• Build a culture around design excellence together with the product and engineering teams.
• You have a technical and social understanding of the bridge between design and development, and how to create an internal culture that outputs seamless and beautiful user experiences.
• Be a key member and contributor to our mission to simplify everyday lives and revolutionize e-commerce with a world-class delivery experience.
• Create and implement a unified design system across all our products.
• Lead and manage the design process across the entire product lifecycle from product discovery to implementation.
• Collaborate on and nurture the design philosophy used at Budbee across all our products.
• Recruit, lead and mentor product designers at Budbee with a focus on the leadership's ability to scale and deliver excellence in a sustainable way.
• Collaborate with other parts of the organization working with design from other perspectives (marketing, physical assets, internal assets, etc.) and contribute to an overall strong and coherent brand.
About you
• Experience from high-growth technology companies.
• Proven track record of designing great products based on extensive user research.
• Experience managing product designers, and the ability to build, mentor and motivate teams.
• Ability to shift focus between strategic and visionary work to being hands-on and solving the problems we have in front of us.
• You are an excellent communicator, comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to look at problems from multiple perspectives.
• A self-starter who is able to take projects from strategy through execution.
