We're now looking for a modern leader to take on the challenge as our new Head of Platform, here in Stockholm.
About the role
To excel our already fast growth pace... we are in the process in adding another dimension to our product offering by including a platform. Not only will the platform distribute our awesome games, but also support our growth in terms of scalability, uptime and service. More importantly, it will form a crucial part of our product offering in terms of promotional tools and reporting and enabling entry into new markets and customers. The platform will be used by Quickspin's large portfolio of B2B customers and open great possibilities for Quickspin.
In the role as Quickspin's Head of Platform, you will focus on driving the Platform team and help them solve and overcome whatever challenges that may arise on the road of launching our new platform. You will continue expanding the team as new needs arise, safeguard the platforms stable operation and support the development of amazing new features.
In everyday terms this will mean leading a team of senior developers which are located in both Stockholm and Kyiv. This will require a good communicator possessing a strong technical background and well-developed leadership skills. The system is acquired from our current platform partner and is built on Java, Python, Ruby on Rails and MariaDB, and hosted on Virtual Machines in a mixed cloud environment. The platform will be hosted together with our parent company's infrastructure division, but the application layer will be handled fully by our platform team.
About you and what we can offer
You are a senior leader and a hands-on technical manager who is capable of driving discussions at all levels of seniority in a multitude of topics e.g. hosting, development, support, DevOps, compliance and change management. As a person, you are interested in diving into a project that is still at an early stage with both technical and organizational challenges ahead. You have a considerable technical experience, making you comfortable leading our experts while also being able to challenge them in a constructive way. You have a background in the gaming industry and is used to the kind of challenges that fast-growing company faces. Additionally, we would like you to have;
• At least 5-10 years of experience in relevant areas
• A Bachelor's degree within relevant areas
• Fluent skills in written/spoken English
