About the Role
As a Head of Operations, you will be responsible for both the operational delivery and Internal IT. The role combines strategic planning, team management, and hands-on technical work. You will be a central figure in shaping the team's ways of working, driving improvements, and ensuring compliance with processes and guidelines.
The position also includes personnel responsibility, meaning you will coach, support, and develop your team members through ongoing feedback, performance reviews, and competence development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Lead, coach, and develop your team, including full personnel responsibility.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize the team's daily work in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Ensure stable, secure, and predictable operation of IST's existing and upcoming software solutions.
• Maintain the security and availability of IST's customers' data and ensure compliance with current standards and ISO-27001 processes and guidelines.
• Investigate and troubleshoot operational issues, providing clear, high-quality answers within a reasonable timeframe and with a professional approach that supports efficient and secure handling of our production IT platforms.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise within the team to support high-quality delivery.
• Ensure that processes, guidelines, and best practices are followed and continuously improved.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of both your own technical craftsmanship and the team's ways of working.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering, and solid experience within operations, security and networking. You work responsibly and flexibly, and are comfortable collaborating in a team as well as working independently.
You enjoy combining hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities. As a Head of Operations, you bring strong technical competence from operational roles and have experience in leading, coaching, or coordinating colleagues. You work in a structured way, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly to create engagement and strong collaboration within the team.
