Job Purpose:
• Management, growth and development of the GSG business in Nordics, providing a balanced risk / reward framework while driving business growth.
• Leadership of the GSG team and talent development, enabling superior performance.
• Enhancing the quality of client relationships by providing strategic content and advice, reaching trusted advisor status with all the important clients.
• Setting clear strategic priorities to build competitive strengths.
• Fostering and leveraging relationships inside and outside the organization, with all stakeholders that could impact the GSG organization, building networks that go beyond strictly business related issues.

Job Background/context:
• The GSG business serves a large number of the world's leading multinational corporations.
• This role supports a holistic, end-to-end, global approach to serving our multinational clients across all industry sectors.
• GSG Bankers are Relationship Managers who build and grow long-term relationships with these clients. They orchestrate the delivery of Citi's vast global product platform and develop integrated strategies, by acting as the primary point of contact for the clients and by working closely with ICG partners.
• As part of an origination team, the role involves a significant amount of client contact both face-to-face and by phone.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver the annual budgeted revenue growth developed in agreement with Product partners, driving specific initiatives as required.
• Engage in strategic dialogue with clients' senior management, opening access to the highest levels of their organization.
• Member of management board of Nordics subsidiary. Represent GSG business in key country governance forums and support franchise through interactions with key external stakeholders including regulators.
• Nurture existing client relationships to become a trusted advisor.
• Implement calling plans to ensure business development is pursued across the client base. Become the designated senior calling officer for selected multinational clients who are intensive users of our global network.
• Assist the bankers in digging deeper to identify clients' needs.
• Manage clients' expectations and effectively engage in difficult discussions with clients.
• Provide strong leadership, support and guidance to the team of bankers / Team heads.
• Build and maintain a best in class GSG coverage team. Develop strategies to attract and retain the best talent.
• Develop an organization structure to deliver the most efficient and effective coverage of clients and origination of business.
• Identify 'High-Potential' talent and promote talent cross-fertilization. Undertake different initiatives delegating them to key individuals, adding more content to their existing responsibilities.
• Foster innovation, in particular through initiatives originated within the GSG team and together with key partners.
• Manage delivery of Citi's global network by providing a consistent coverage approach to our multi-national corporate clients through liaising with CIB & ICG partners, providing 'network' forums to facilitate communication, and ensuring product partner connectivity across Citi.
• Implement a management discipline based on relevant key drivers and metrics to boost the growth of the business, conducting formal and informal performance evaluations, providing adequate guidance and feedback, adapting strategies as necessary.

Knowledge/Experience:
• Demonstrate industry and product expertise across Cash Management, Trade, Markets, FX, Derivatives, Loan products and Capital Markets products.
• Significant management work experience within banking or financial services organizations.
• Relevant Credit/Risk experience, balanced risk taker, Credit Officer.

Skills:
• Strong, proven leadership skills to manage and motivate a diverse team.
• Able to sustain a proposal in front of the highest levels of the organization.
• Ability to lead initiatives across the franchise and different stakeholders
• Ability to develop creative and innovative solutions
• Analytical skills: quickly assimilating new information, differentiating which facts are relevant and which are not, for reaching conclusions and making decisions.
• Ability to build relationships with ease

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• MBA qualification or advanced degree would be advantageous (or equivalent experience).
