Working at Motatos, you will join our fight against food waste and have the ability to contribute to making the world a better place.
As head of Merchandising you're responsible for the nordic sales. You and your team are responsible for optimizing the offer to the customer to make sure that we sell and deliver on our KPIs.
In this position you will be a central anchor point for our operational business and play a central role in achieving our strategic goals.
What you'll do
• You will lead a team of 10 talented employees of which 6 reports directly to you
• Ensure the achievement of the short and medium-term KPIs, in particular the control of margin, AOV, and stock binding.
• Plan and control the curating of the shop space and create our commercial plan together with your team.
• You harmonize our commercial plan and pricing with our stock and ensure that stocks are marketed efficiently and sensibly before the best-before date is reached
• You and your team will work to continuously analyze product, newsletter and promotion performance and continuously optimize our offers and assortments based on data.
• Develop guidelines that will help purchasing to procure and expand our ranges in an even more targeted manner.
• You report directly to the Nordic director.
• You will work closely with the Head of Marketing and Head of Sourcing and will have great opportunities to impact the business
Our humble expectations - we see that you have experience in the following areas
• You are passionate about our mission to fight food waste
• You are an experienced leader and have a proven track record of managing teams with more that three direct reports
• You have worked more than 5 years in merchandising and know what margin, average order value, conversion rate and contribution margin mean and have already successfully proven their optimization in an eCommerce environment.
• You have mastered the balance between making decisions based on data but never forgetting the customer perspective
• You are well organized, structured and keep track of projects with many stakeholders
• You dare to further develop our merchandising: you are always open to new ideas and approaches
• Fluency in English.
• Big plus if you have worked towards the nordic markets, especially the swedish market.
