What's in it for you?
We are looking for a true leader with high ambitions and great interest in taking on a senior management position and have a passion for developing people within Manufacturing Engineering. Further you will drive changes and improvements globally and develop a strong business-oriented culture.

What you'll do.
You will be responsible for a global organisation consisting of approximately 400 employees working in teams around the globe. Most are working in Gothenburg, but you will have teams in all our Plants (Gent, Charleston, in China Chengdu, Luqiao and Daqing) and some engineers in our Shanghai HQ.

You will be responsible for and give your support to Manufacturing Final Assembly. This includes:

• Implement vehicle programs and engineering changes in global production sites
• Define and maintain technical strategies within your area
• Support the running production in all plants with measuring data
As you are representing Manufacturing towards to our Design and R&D departments, you need to work very close to all our plants as you will be responsible for and work to develop (define, prepare), implement, introduce, and maintain quality-assured, effective, and standardized production systems in all car plants according to targets. You will ensure process-driven product development with focus on effective and quality secured production and robust design/process solutions.

Other tasks that are included in the role are the following:

• Manage organization and resources to meet defined targets on all locations
• Early studies to verify design feasibilities.
• Verify product and process through virtual and physical series

This position is based in Gothenburg and requires travel.

The extensive people experience is key to success in this role, and we want a candidate with proven track record of coaching people in successfully deliveries from earlier. Experience of heading change within a complex manufacturing business, knowledge, and capability of implementation of lean tools and techniques are of course meritorious for the position.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken is also required.
