Head of Manufacturing Excellence Leader - Avesta
Outokumpu have a defined and sponsored European wide program for Manufacturing Excellence, this is a unique and exciting role that forms part of the site management team in Avesta to take program ownership and accountability for ME in one of our key sites.
We are now ready to capitalize on the building blocks in place and accelerate improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and productivity gains through continuing to challenge existing ways of working.
Leading a dedicated team of Manufacturing Excellence professionals, your role encompasses the overall management and growth of ME capability, driving a step change in continuous improvement culture. You will evolve the deployment and focused improvement strategy considering the "big picture" and priority projects for site successes and improvements.
Working in close collaboration with change leaders in other Outokumpu operations in Europe. You will report to the Site Manager in Avesta as a key advisor for manufacturing excellence.
We require a strong leader with experience developing a Lean Sigma program in a relatively green field environment, developing a team on a sizable site and someone who can build upon the last 2 years of foundational activity.
To be considered you will have experience in the following:
• Master of Science in e.g. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience within robust lean production systems
• Experience in a production environment with industrial / equipment / machinery
• Lean Sigma credentials with hands on implementation and delivery of a broad range of projects
• Statistical process control, working on often complex problems
• Working with management teams to support continuous improvement thinking
• BlackBelt and Lean Six Sigma training
• As a leader support the development of operational excellence team members
• Senior leadership experience for transformation and change management
• Fluency in Swedish & English language
