What you'll do
At Volvo Cars, you will sit within the Finance area and be part of a global team that drives business performance to realize the strategic objectives. You act in cooperation with colleagues in business units world-wide, you and your team provide financial expertise and guidance. At finance, you can push your own professional skills and drive change.
We are looking for a new team member to the Engineering and Operations (E&O) Finance team, as Head of Logistic Controlling.
As Head of Logistic Controling you will, together with your operational counterparts, drive and steer the organisation towards the delivery of our financial targets. You are responsible for the financial steering related to freight cost of direct material as well as the outbound transportation cost of our cars and parts, including customs and parts logistics.
In the role, you will steer and challenge the operation towards fulfilment of financial targets as well as drive operational efficiency. You are an active member of the management team for logistics as well as the Procurement & Supply Chain (P&SC) finance management team. The finance team is global, and you will be working across both the global operational function as well as across our global finance teams and our group companies.
You are also a leader and manager for a team of global controllers, with the responsibility to develop people and teams. You will drive efficiency in our financial processes and optimize the operational steering. Digitalization is high on your agenda, every day.
What you'll bring
We are looking for an ambitious person with a strong drive to succeed and make a change. To be successful in this role you need to have a strategic mind-set and the ability to use facts together with business acumen to drive decisions towards business targets.
Previous experience from supply chain logistics and digitization are very positive, and extensive experience from finance and controlling is a must. You show a high level of integrity together with a positive attitude and the willingness to change. You are people orientated and you are able cooperate cross functionally. You are comfortable communicate complex data in English.
