Mission/Purpose
To continue to develop the Learning Expertise function as a state-of-the art area within the Volvo Group thereby contributing to making the Volvo Group University the authority in the area of adult learning and the Volvo Group center of excellence for Learning. This involves providing expertise on cutting edge learning processes, methods and solutions based on internal and external best practice. Also included is the responsibility to secure the quality of learning on a long-term basis by defining the Volvo Group University standards. It also covers evaluating the business effect of learning. The Learning Expertise function is also responsible for consolidating strategic learning initiatives, new development, enhancement of offerings and key activities cross academies. The position reports to the Senior Vice President of Volvo Group University.

Key responsibilities*Lead, develop and follow up the Learning Expertise & Development function with focus on employee engagement in accordance with agreed targets
• Support the Volvo Group business organizations with expertise in adult learning e.g in the development of the Volvo Group learning strategy
• Strengthen the established Volvo Group learning principles including quality criteria, the "70-20-10 principle" and Kirkpatrick. model for evaluation
• Define Trainer requirements and develop the trainers community by driving Trainer certification and supporting them in their mission
• Develop procedures and tools for assessing learning and support the academies to follow up the quality evaluate the impacts and results of the learning solution and the investment in training
• Closely follow research and perform benchmark through external partnerships (universities, , learning experts and organizations) to identify and make use of new trends
• Ensure that the Learning Expertise function is properly resourced in all respects and has the capacity, commitment and competence to achieve the planned objectives

Experience and knowledge*University degree in Pedagogics, Business Administration, Human Resources or the equivalent
• Solid experience and track record from the learning expertise area i.e. innovative, cutting edge learning, methods, guidelines and tools
• Minimum 5-8 years of management experience from senior positions
• Ability to articulate a compelling vision and set the strategic direction and common agenda for the function
• Demonstrate a combination of business acumen, an understanding of business needs and relationships with relevant partners
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage teams in a global organization
• Excellent change management, communication, interpersonal and networking skills
• As English is the corporate language, proficiency in English language is required
