About the role
We are looking for a highly organized and skilled Laboratory Manager. The primary focus of this role will be to oversee the management, growth, and development of our laboratory team, which is responsible for verifying the hardware and embedded software of our products.
You will be responsible for coordinating the work of the laboratory team, ensuring that all testing and verification activities are carried out efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with our engineering and design teams to ensure that our products meet all relevant quality standards and will be responsible for communicating progress and updates to relevant stakeholders.
By joining early on, you will influence working methods, and technology choices and you will play a key role in shaping our product. You will have the opportunity to make key decisions in our product development and play a leading role in the creation of our product. You will help create and lay the foundation for both the product and the team culture.
Other responsibilities include:
• Identify and resolve issues and challenges related to laboratory operations
• Monitor and report on the performance of the laboratory team
• Assist in the development and implementation of laboratory processes and procedures
• Collaborate with external partners and vendors as needed
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members as needed
What we would like you to have
Besides an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to deal with constant change, we would like you to have:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of experience in managing teams, preferably in a testing or laboratory environment
• Strong understanding of the product development process
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proficiency in laboratory management software and tools
• Strong organizational & leadership skills
• Open mind set & enjoy working in a start-up environment with high ambition to scale fast
