About the role:
As the Head of IT and Digital Strategy, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our technological vision, strategies, and initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our technology infrastructure aligns with business goals and delivers seamless digital experiences. As the ideal candidate, you possess a strong blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and leadership skills.
Moreover, you will be at the forefront of modern technological developments, steering our AI endeavors to achieve innovation and competitive advantage.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead the IT and digital strategy in alignment with the company's overall objectives and long-term vision.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to identify technology opportunities, anticipate potential challenges, and propose innovative solutions.
• Oversee the management and enhancement of the company's technology infrastructure, including networks, systems, software, and hardware.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives, utilizing emerging technologies to optimize processes, enhance customer experiences, and drive efficiency.
• Lead the execution of our AI plans, leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to create value across the organization.
• Build and manage a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Enabling them to provide excellent service to their internal customers.
• Establish and monitor technology-related KPIs, providing regular progress reports to senior management.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements, recommending relevant technologies that could benefit the company's growth.
• Manage relationships with external technology vendors, ensuring effective partnerships and service delivery.
• Collaborate with data security and compliance teams to maintain the highest level of data protection and privacy standards.
Qualifications:
• Comprehensive experience (8+ years) in a leadership role within IT and digital strategy, ideally in technology or gaming companies. Both in operational and strategic capacity.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing IT strategies that drive business growth and innovation.
• Strong understanding of digital technologies, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data management.
• Interest in executing AI initiatives, with a keen understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse group of IT professionals.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in an agile environment and managing technology projects from conception to implementation.
Your Day-to-day as Head of IT and Digital Strategy
Your role as Head of IT and Digital Strategy is a dynamic mix of strategic leadership and technological oversight. Your daily tasks include:
Strategic Planning: Align IT strategies with company objectives, collaborate with leadership, and adjust plans as needed.
Team Leadership: Guide and mentor your IT team, ensuring goals are met and fostering a collaborative environment. The team currently consists of 2 experienced IT specialists but is expected to grow.
Technology Management: Monitor tech infrastructure, engage with vendors, and explore emerging technologies.
Digital Transformation: Lead cross-functional teams in digital projects, optimizing processes and enhancing customer experiences.
AI Execution: Coordinate AI initiatives, providing direction for innovation, automation, and business value.
Communication: Update senior management, explain complex tech concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and prepare progress reports.
Problem-Solving: Address challenges, make strategic decisions, and find solutions that balance tech feasibility and business needs.
Professional Growth: Stay current with industry trends, attend relevant events, and continue personal development.
