What we offer

The Corporate Communication department is seeking a Head of Internal Communication to tell Volvo's story to its 40,000 employees. But this is not all. What you'll do

You will require the ability to spot and develop stories from around the organisation, bringing them to life and using them to build a bottom-up flow of stories that illuminates the breadth and depth of the Volvo transformation story.

The days of simply writing this story are over. Written content is still a part of the game, but new publishing platforms such as the mobile intranet and social media will also have to be utilized. All internal communication in future will be multi-platform, so a knowledge of how these platforms can best be utilized is a crucial requirement of this position.

In short, the head of internal communication is responsible for making sure the global workforce in Europe, China and the US is able to understand and be engaged in the ongoing transformation of the company.

The complex must be expressed simply and in a manner that is equally relevant to this geographically diverse audience. Assets must be developed that generate engagement and enthusiasm. The diverse organisation that is Volvo Cars must be explained clearly and interestingly.

The head of internal communications is also a member of the Corporate Communication Management Team.

This is a forum that ensures all internal communication is unified strategically with all planned external communication and asset production. Additionally, the Head of Internal Communication is expected to make a meaningful contribution to global strategic communication discussions in the CCMT and also suggest stories for external communication where appropriate.
