This is a key role in ensuring the success of Schibsted News Media's product and business ambitions and the role reports to the Chief Product Officer for News Media.
We expect you to achieve the following:
- Lead the Insight strategic ambitions and goals of News Media
- Empower News Media leadership with advanced user and product insights to inform product and company strategy decisions
- Lead and mentor a team of data analytics, data scientists and data engineers
- Continuously improve our analytics practices, processes, and tools
- Data governance from a product and business perspective (ownership of data models, metrics definitions and analytics frameworks to be used across companies to answer key product and business questions) including alignment with corporate data strategy
- Work closely with user research to marry qualitative and quantitative insight
- Foster a culture of cooperation, transparency and trust
Who you are:
- You have experience leading a high-performing Insights unit
- You are good at shaping team dynamics and building culture
- You have experience managing in a matrix organization
- You are pragmatic and impact oriented
- You have exceptional academic results in a relevant field
- You have good communication skills, able to create buy-in with both teams and with stakeholders
- Speak and write English fluently
