We currently have the following job opening;
Head of Innovation Strategy and Ideation
To realize CEVT's vision of becoming a world leading innovation center, a new Innovation Department has been created. The mission of the department is to strengthen the innovation capacity of the company by identifying, promoting and managing innovation initiatives within the field of mobility and with focus on customers' future needs. Innovation will take place in interaction with partners and in collaboration with our customers, suppliers, research institutes, authorities, small and middle-sized companies etc.
The Innovation department consists of three groups; Market Intelligence and Governance, Innovation Programs and Innovation Strategy and Ideation. We are now looking for the Head of Innovation Strategy and Ideation.
Responsibilities and Tasks
The Head of Innovation Strategy and Ideation defines the Strategic Innovation Plan and identifies, initiates and supports Innovation Initiatives. The main responsibility of the Head of Strategy and Ideation is to efficiently deliver the results from the Innovation Strategy and Ideation team. To achieve the results, he/she will:
- Formulate and distribute the Strategic Innovation Plan. This is done in close collaboration with other managers in the Innovation teams as well as other key stake holders
- Plan and execute Idea Generation activities such as Innovation Lab, Pitch bars etc. to ensure constant flow of Innovation Initiatives. The activities will involve all departments in CEVT, LYNK&CO and in some cases key suppliers, universities, etc.
- Propose improvements for faster and more efficient development, within and outside the Innovation department
- Allocate resource (internal and external) to drive the Innovation Initiatives in the first steps of the process
- Be the first point of contact for external collaborating fora
- Prepare for possible spin off / collaboration / acquisition
- Prepare reporting/decision documents for management meetings
- Build up, develop and long term secure the needed competence of the team
- Be employee responsibility for direct reports including recruitment, performance and competence development. Provide coaching and guidance to employees to ensure deliveries and personal development.
- Based on the Innovation Center targets, set and follow up KPI and targets for the team
Profile and Background
- Academic degree in Technology and/or Business Development
- Strategic capability - ability to identify areas for innovation investments
- Good communication skills, orally as well as in writing
- Ability to make clear recommendations
- Dynamic leader with ability to create confidence and inspiration
- Experience in Innovation management is desired
- Broad interest and/or experience in the connection technology/business development/market development
Experience from the automotive industry is NOT required.
