What you'll do

In Connected Experience (ConX) at Volvo Cars, our purpose is to develop and deliver a world-class digital user experience based on our Infotainment, Connectivity and Cloud Platforms.
As Head of Infotainment in ConX, you will be part of the ConX Leadership Team, ensuring we are building a world class infotainment system with regular updates throughout the vehicle lifecycle. Your teams responsibilities include developing infotainment applications, home screen and system UI, as well as integrating and releasing the complete system. You will be working closely with stakeholders throughout VCC to define the infotainment roadmap that will make Volvo vehicles stunning to own and operate.

Main responsibilities
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and continuous delivery across ConX, and guide development strategy and methodology
* Build an empowered leadership team to support speed and quality of main value streams
* Make sure that technical strategies and objectives are set in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders
* Facilitate transparent communication
* Proactively work with competence development to assure the right competence in line with strategies
* Recruit highly skilled individuals in line with identified capacity, wanted culture and competence needs
* Take complete responsibility for all operations in the department by addressing issues with relevant stakeholders
* As a part of Connected Experience leadership team, define and drive the Connected Experience strategy towards the business goals of Volvo Cars

Who you are

You have the ability to systematically drive change in large organizations. You have exceptional leadership skills, high integrity, and enjoy fostering engagement and developing individuals. To be a good match for this role it's important to be cooperative, transparent, and flexible, always prioritizing quality and results. You are good at building relationships with internal stakeholders and nurturing external partnerships. Additionally, you possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with Swedish being a plus.

You also have...
* A degree in Software Engineering, information technology or similar fields or equivalent work experience
* 5+ years of experience in leadership roles within R&D, preferably also covering lead of leader roles
* Experience of building complex customer facing products
* High familiarity with user and data driven development
* Several years experience with DevOps culture and agile methodologies
