What you'll do
As our Head of PX Strategy and Business Office you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the strategic direction of the People Experience (PX) function within Volvo Cars (People Experience is what we call our HR organisation). This leadership position is responsible for building a small team of experts and staying ahead of HR industry trends to ensure our organization remains competitive and aligned with best practices. You will play a crucial role in defining the People Experience's strategic direction and overseeing its successful integration, implementation, reporting, and performance.
Your team will include an expert responsible for strategic workforce planning; a senior business partner responsible for our most senior executive population; and a senior project manager responsible for a range of complex and global PX related projects.

Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Trends & Technology: Stay informed about emerging HR trends, best practices, and innovative approaches. Implement such insights in order to disrupt and challenge the status quo to ultimately future-proof the wider organisation.
2. HR Strategy Execution: Develop and execute the HR strategy that aligns with the overall organizational goals and priorities. Continuously assess and refine the strategy to address evolving business needs.
3. Networking: Build and maintain good external networks within the HR and technology industry. Ensure that Volvo Cars has a voice externally, is represented at conferences/events and plays a meaningful role in shaping the future.
4. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a small HR team, providing coaching, guidance, and support to ensure they are motivated, productive, and aligned with the company's mission and values.
5. Business Office Management: together with the Financial Controller, manage the PX business office, including budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor relationships. Ensure that HR operations are cost-effective and align with budgetary constraints.
6. Change Management: create positive change initiatives within the PX department and across the organization, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new HR processes and technologies. Provide guidance on change management strategies to leaders and teams.

What you'll bring
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred).
• A minimum of 10+ years of progressive HR or similar experience, including leadership roles.
• Leadership skills with a proven ability to develop and mentor a team of high performing experts.
• Experience in company strategy and a solid financial understanding.
• Deep and established experience in managing complex, highly senior/skilled projects.
• A robust network within the HR community, nationally and internationally.
• Proficiency in technology and data analytics within HR.
• Demonstrated experience in change management and organizational development.
• Consultancy background is a plus.
