This role is in charge of maintaining a forward-looking view of material availability and ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to remove bottlenecks in our value chain in close collaboration with Supply Chain Management (SCM), R&D and Operations to ensure uninterrupted series production of Automation & Communication (AC) products. The role is cross-functional across SCM, Product Management, R&D and Operations. The role does not take over accountability from Product Management for the long-term lifecycle policy (multi-year plan, multi-generation plan, obsolescence management plan), or the accountability from R&D to maintain a Bill of Material (BoM) for AC products and sub-assemblies. The role is however accountable for the GPG AC portfolio manufacturability in the short-term perspective (series production in a rolling 12 month perspective) and to accelerate any kind of mitigation action necessary. Such mitigations may be, but not limited to the following:
Your responsibilities
Align material spot-buys and opportunity-buys in collaboration with SCM
Maintain day-to-day visibility on stock-levels in our factories as well as with suppliers in collaboration with Operations and SCM
Review and ensure that safety stocks are at appropriate levels in our factories as well as with suppliers in collaboration with Operations and SCM
Review the BoMs in collaboration with R&D and SCM for material risks (single-sourcing, tightly specified components, supplier risks, manufacturer risks, geopolitical risks, quality, etc) and trigger actions to reduce our risk exposure proactively
Trigger proactive redesigns and marshal reactive redesigns in collaboration with R&D
Ensure fast reindustrialization after redesign (regression testing, type testing) in collaboration with R&D, SCM and Quality
Ensure fast adaptation after redesign of production test equipment and test software in collaboration with Operations and Quality
Review and manage the required test coverage after design changes in collaboration with R&D and Quality
Maintain visibility on materials/components lifecycle, by anticipating and timely communicating potential problems (stop of production, foreseen unavailability,
Coordinate new product introductions with reindustrialization activities in collaboration with
Operations, R&D and Product Management
Ensure that sufficient supplier production capacity is available in collaboration with SCM
Onboard external test houses in collaboration with R&D

Your background & profile
Customer focused and highly committed to delivery (focused, resilient, end-to-end accountable)
Able to lead a cross-functional team to achieve unprecedented results (component engineers, product architects, NPI engineers, HW product owners, tactical SCM staff, production planners)
Able to quickly understand complex problems, technical, commercial and organizational, and break them down to manageable projects with clear goals and delegated responsibility
Calm under pressure
Outstanding communication skills
You are located in Vasteras and able to travel
Solid understanding of industrial electronics and its supply chain
>5 years leadership experience
Technical background, Bachelor or MSc
Superior English oral and writing skills
Multi-cultural experience
