Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Scania is currently in the midst of a multi-year People & Culture transformation including implementing our first-ever global HR system, which will become the core system for all HR-processes globally.

We are now looking for a new Manager for our Global Safety & Health Office. On an overall level we want you to be both experienced in the way we work today and at the same time able to grasp the safety and health needs of tomorrow.

Your tasks

You will be responsible for leading and developing Global Safety & Health Office which is responsible for creating the framework and the guiding principles within the area of working environment on a global Scania level. You will work in close cooperation with the Swedish and Global Occupational Health functions. In total the organization consists of about 13 employees, divided into two teams with a group manager for one of the teams. The task is to guide Scania in its work to ensure and promote health, safety and sustainable productivity.

Aptitude in leadership and ability to build structure and a sense of coherence for your employees are essential as well as being a true team player.

Our Safety & Health Office has the ownership and development of global policies , S&H processes and the design of our S&H methods and global frameworks. It serves as the interface between the internal customer (the business) & the occupational health organization, facilitating a strong alignment with the business and understanding its needs.

They ensure a global harmonization of the S&H processes while at the same time reflecting local statutory requirements.

Your profile

You have an academic degree within the area of work environment or similar experience, at least 3 years of experience working as a manager and vast knowledge within methodology development and transfer of knowledge area.

As a person you have a strategic mindset, good problem solving and communication skills. You are clear as a leader and have a curious mindset. You have the ability to create commitment and participation and to collaborate with team members and business stakeholders at all levels of the organization. This role requires strong people skills in order to influence, collaborate, motivate, and drive timely and effective results. It 's also important to have the experience of working with culture, behavioural and organizational changes.

You need to be fluent in Swedish and English.
