We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced finance leader. As the Head of Financial Reporting & Control, you will have the opportunity to shape the direction of the department, build and mentor a talented team, drive innovation to meet the ever-evolving demands which can occur in a dynamic, international, modern and evolving electric vehicle company whose aim is to improve the society we live in.

This position is located at Polestar Lindholmen, in Gothenburg.

What you'll do

The role is part of group management and reports to the Global CFO. As Head of Financial Reporting & Financial Control you are responsible for a team of approx 40 peers and six direct reports. The role is situated in a rather complex matrix organisation consisting of some 25- companies world wide and a parent company in the UK.

Responsibility:

• Overall responsibility for financial reporting and financial control

• Leading a team consisting of following functions; group accounting, group financial control, group financial processes, group financial compliance and group internal control

• The team is responsible for preparation of group financial reports, management reports, budgets, forecasts, liquidity forecasts, mapping of global financial flows and internal control reporting

• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team and support their professional development

• Foster a positive work environment and promote open communication and collaboration

• Lead the implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness

• Report to CFO and support with board, management and other presentations.

• As a part of the Finance management team you will lead and develop the Group Accounting & Financial Control unit to support the growth targets of the Polestar Group

Who you are

Experience and knowledge:

• Proven leadership experience

• Proven experience as CFO, finance manager or similar at an international company.

• Solid experience from global- and listed companies

• Experience from managing a team of similar size and construction.

• Broad knowledge and experience of Group Accounting and Financial Control processes and systems in an international context with IFRS as a financial reporting standard

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or equivalent

• Strong leadership and organizational skills
