As the Head of Finance Nordics you are responsible and the owner of all logistics, accounting and controlling activities at the Nordic Hub (Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark). This includes monthly closing of the books for all Nordic subsidiaries (including a manufacturing unit), performance controlling, reporting & analysis as well as giving qualified recommendation on key topics.
You will report to the General Manager Nordic Hub and as part of the Nordic Hub Management Team you will contribute with your expertise in solving complex business issues and also help to leverage on efficiency and efficacy. You are the driver on processes, efficient routines and constant challenger of the current status quo.
You have the support of a highly motivated team in Göteborg as well as local functional support in the subsidiaries (Norway, Finland and Denmark).
Major responsibilities include:
• Monthly closing of the books according to local GAAP and IFRS reporting to the Group
• Assure an efficient controlling process by regular reviewing the performance of the Hub in coordination with local Management and the RFO; initiate corrective actions if needed and follow-up results; assure adherence to budget and targets and early identify negative trends and deviations
• Define all performance reporting requirements; develop and maintain the Executive Cockpit including the generation of these reports;
• Secure adherence to external regulation and reporting of VAT, tax and statutory
• Cash management
• Provide the local Management with fact based ad hoc analysis and reports on the Hub financial and business performance
• Lead and coordinate all planning processes within the Hub (budget, Latest Estimate, forecast) in close cooperation with the RFO; assure adherence to respective corporate targets
• Pro-active challenging of cost responsibles regarding cost efficiency, business cases, decisions of the company
• Responsible for the Internal Control System and IT related matters
• Improvement of local processes and maintain descriptions and procedures up to date (including training and communication)
• Lead, direct, coach and support subordinates to ensure maximum efficiency and professionalism in the organisation
• Sparring Partner of the General Manager Nordic Hub
Candidate profile
We think you, as a preferred candidate, should have a University degree in accounting/controlling, finance, business administration or a related area and sound knowledge in the finance area (including IFRS and local GAAP) and proficient knowledge of closing and experienced in making out and checking balance sheets. Several years of prior work experience in a leading, international finance position is also required. Furthermore knowledge of ERP-systems is a must as well as excellent excel know-how. SAP knowledge (FI, CO) is an asset. You are fluent in written and spoken Swedish and English and if you know another Nordic language that is definitely an asset.
As an individual you are structured with an analytical capacity, ambitious with a powerful self-drive and you have the ability to see the big picture. You are a positive and outgoing person who has proven leadership skills to lead the Finance Team. As the ideal candidate you will have excellent communication skills and be able to establish strong working relationships across different hierarchical levels within an international matrix environment. You possess the ability to identify and realize process improvements and to collect relevant information for the task at hand. High level of integrity, commitment and ethics is also a necessity.
