In November 2021 our Group CFO launched a new revitalized strategy for Finance. Key elements in our strategy are to accelerate digitalization within Finance combined with a future proof information model and data quality. Data management and quality is a strategic priority in the overall Volvo Group. We are now seeking the person leading the function called Finance Information Management & Data Governance.

Group Finance Business Office is a part of Group Finance with responsibility to coordinate strategic projects and IT in the Finance area, manage core the Finance applications portfolio, Finance competence development a as well as Information management and Data governance. We are now looking for a Head of Finance Information Management & Data Governance who will report to the SVP Group Finance Business Office. The position is based at Volvo Group HQ in Göteborg.
Head of Finance Information Management & Data Governance
As Head of Finance Information Management & Data Governance your mission will be to secure efficient finance data management processes with correct data quality for the Group.
As leader of the team, you are overseeing overall Finance Information and data architecture for business value, fitness for purpose and compliance. You will drive the implementation of an updated information model for Finance, and you ensure a clear data governance structure for Finance aligned with Group data governance model. You will represent Group Finance in Head of Data forum and you 'll be a member of the Group Finance Business Office Management Team.
You will in your role be an active member in our key strategic projects with the purpose to drive and support the implementation of the future proof information model in new Master Finance which is a key initiative to digitalize Group Finance.
It will also be your responsibility to be a people leader of a team in the area of Information Model and Master Data Management where you as a team improve data literacy in Finance including visualization of data models, data lineage and safeguard classification of data related to security and compliance requirements. As a leader of the team, you stimulate and support individual- and team development growth.
Who are you?
You have a relevant academic degree in Business or Finance combined with several years of experience in data management and data governance. Over the years, you have demonstrated successful experience in projects and the related change management. To have a solid experience from Finance accounting and reporting as well as Finance application is a requirement.
A deeper understanding of the Volvo Group Finance and applications is a merit.
To be successful in this position we believe you have a strong drive for results and an agility in navigating through a global matrixed organization. You are a self-motivated and inspiring leader. You have strong communication skills and the ability to lead by influencing others in both the written and spoken English language.
