The team and the role
We are now looking for a Head of Facilities to take on a central role in our management team in Arvika. The position is based in Arvika and reports to the Head of Operations.
In this role, you will work closely with colleagues across the organization, including property, maintenance, project, operations, and support functions, as well as with colleagues in Volvo Construction Equipment. You will be an important link between local needs and the wider organization, helping ensure that the site runs smoothly, secure, and efficiently.
This is a role with both operational depth and strategic scope, where you will help shape how we work going forward.
What you will do
As a member of the site management team you play a vital role in developing the factory for tomorrow. As Head of Facilities, you will have the real estate responsibility with focus on facility management, property- and production maintenance, including security and facility services.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and developing the facilities function in Arvika
Taking responsibility for budget, maintenance planning, and follow-up
Acting as a key stakeholder in construction and development projects
Coordinating services and orders in collaboration with internal and external partners
Ensuring compliance with relevant directives, legal requirements, and authority regulations
Following up on finances and evaluating agreements
Prioritizing and ordering maintenance and issue handling together with our operations and maintenance contractor
Supporting and driving initiatives within property, maintenance, and security
Contributing to the continued development of the site and the broader organization

Who you are
We are looking for someone with experience and knowledge in property, maintenance, security, or a related field, and who combines structure with flexibility. You understand the importance of planning and follow-up, but you can also act quickly when needed. You are a people person who enjoys building relationships, engaging with others, and creating trust across functions and teams. You are curious by nature, open to learning, and comfortable challenging the status quo when it helps move things forward. You see the bigger picture, contribute to the overall success of the plant, and are comfortable balancing strategic priorities with operational delivery.
We believe you are experienced in property, maintenance, security, or a similar role, and that you are comfortable leading projects, coordinating stakeholders, and working across teams. You are structured, responsible, and solution-oriented, with strong communication and relationship-building skills. You are also able to see the bigger picture and contribute to the whole, and you are fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
The following qualifications are considered an advantage: a university degree in engineering, construction, property, security, or equivalent, several years of relevant experience in similar roles, experience with maintenance planning, budgeting, and budget follow-up, a good understanding of property owner responsibilities and safe requirements, and experience from construction and/or maintenance projects.
