hela Sverige The Head of Facial Animation is responsible for setting and leading the facial animation team. Supervising the shows by working closely with the VFX Supervisor, Animation Supervisor and Producer to meeting the shows aesthetic targets.
The Head of Facial Animation should be experienced and passionate about creating photo realistic facial animation for films, commercials and video games, have experience in leading/mentoring teams, and knowledge in all aspects of real human facial animation, from on-set experience to delivery of the final render. The Head of Facial Animation partners with other departments to ensure the smooth pipeline and workflow of facial animation.
• Supervising/Mentoring Facial animation team and identifying talen/performance within the team to meet show/department needs. Skills development and training
• Participates in turnover meetings, animation breakdowns, and bidding/re-bidding over course of the show.
Ensuring the creature team/show meets the shows requirements, determines the technical and aesthetics approaches to hit targets on time while monitoring show/shot progress.
• Highly proficient in facial animation. Working experience with in-house proprietary software development and guidance of tools development.
• Deep knowledge in facial anatomy and great eye for aesthetics of facial animation.
• Experience with lookdev of characters and feedback process to modellers/riggers on their work.
• Mentor entry level facial animators and assist them with their shots
• Maintain or exceed a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work.
Requirements
• At least 10 years of work experience required in facial animation for feature films.
• 5 years minimum experience as a lead facial animator with leadership responsibilities

• Excellent communications skills and leadership qualities. Professional manner in a pressured environment. Meticulous and methodical work habits.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and have strong leadership skills, including communication and ability to delegate.
