The Head of Execution for LNG Systems and Special Equipment is responsible for the overall management and direction of the project execution within the business unit. The role will ensure the quality of complex projects towards the customers, assuring that the projects are completed on time and within budget. The Head of Execution will also participate in business development activities and issue resolutions for improvements.
The position is based in Gothenburg and you will report directly to the Business Unit Manager, LNG systems and Special Equipment.
The team consists of 8 Project Managers, whom together with you will manage a team of subcontractors, number of to vary with the size of the projects. Projects will normally run between 1-2 years with budgets between SEK 100- 500 milj.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and coach the execution team on a daily basis
• Act as project manager for the key projects
• Develop staff aiming at establishing an expert execution team
• Implement Linde Engineering execution workflow, tools and procedures to adequate extent
• Liaise with relevant functions and disciplines at Linde Engineering head quarter
• Plan, organize and control all resources, staff- internal as well as external and materials, for a successful execution of the projects
• Lead the project team with the objective to assure proper quality, retained schedule, cost control, highest safety standards while focusing on customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
• Master degree in Engineering, Construction or similar
• Degree in Project Management
• Minimum 10-15 years or experience of complex construction projects in the process industry, preferable from the gas sector
• Strong leadership capacity with the ability to lead and motivate staff while generating results through others
• Good knowledge of construction methods and materials, costing, scheduling and estimating
• Strong organizational and communications skills
• Strong skills in problem resolving both on a strategic and a functional level
• Strong customer orientation
• Have a good drive with a positive mindset
• Fluent in English, written as well as verbal
