The critical role will help support the aggressive growth goals of the business and will report directly to the CEO.
As a core member of the business, the Head of Event Operations will have deep oversight into all of the logistics and coordination of events including:
• Key Stakeholder support
o Speaker and trainer coordination
o Sponsor and exhibitor after-sales support and communication
o Delegate/attendee support
• Event delivery requirements
o Venue identification, booking and negotiation
o Sponsorship and Exhibition
o Audio visual and technology
o Food and beverage
o Signage and branding
• Management
o Resource planning within the operations team - internal and external staff
o People recruitment management and motivation
o Event forward program planning
o Venue deadline monitoring and control
o Cost control and management of relevant costs
o Continual improvement - identify new processes and services key to ongoing growth of the business
Essential skills
• Fluent Swedish and excellent English both written and verbal
• A proven track record of event coordination in a B2B commercial environment
• Proven success in managing external suppliers
• Strong negotiation skills
• Experience of working to a budget
• Strong administrative skills and ability to self-organise with deep attention to detail
• Ability to successfully people manage
