About the role and department
In this position, you lead a team of enterprise architects and collaborate with architects and engineers in the Business Areas and Group IT. The purpose of the Enterprise Architect (EA) function is to enable, facilitate and drive agile and controlled business change, to maximize business value from information technology. In order to achieve this, the EA function defines needed enablers, platforms, and capabilities to be delivered by Group IT to reinforce our digital shift and the six digital moves (customer experience, application modernization, technology foundation, security, AI & Automation) and supports the execution of these enablers. The function assures an efficient balance between decentralized delivery close to the customer and smart collaborations, as well as continuously driving the engineering culture through upskilling and communities.
Your responsibilities
Leading the EA function of Group IT, in the areas of Business Architecture, Information Architecture, Solutions Architecture, Technical Architecture, and Security Architecture.
Leading the collaboration between architects and engineers in various forums and communities.
Supporting the transformation to a more data-driven mindset across the Sandvik group.
Applying knowledge of business requirements and architecture to contribute to an architecture framework, including technology architecture strategy, policies, guiding principles and standards.
The focus is to ensure that digital solutions are fit for our current and future business, rather than driven by siloed optimization of individual landscape components. You work to create a culture of innovation within the technology team - to add business value, reduce complexity, and drive competitive advantage.
You report to the Sandvik Group CDO, and you're preferably based in either Stockholm or Sandviken. Although, with the right profile we can be open to other locations. Some international travel is a natural part of your job.
Your profile
Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, IT or other relevant area.
Proven experience within business architecture, information architecture, solutions architecture, technical architecture, and security architecture.
Proven track record of developing people and organizations.
Knowledge within cloud architecture and transformation, preferably multi cloud.
Understanding of APIs and integration, big data, and Advanced Analytics.
Business process knowledge from the manufacturing industry.
Understanding and a curiosity of existing, new, and emerging technologies.
Change management skills.
Experienced storyteller.
Fluent written and spoken English.
