Your role
As head of Engineering in Järfälla Operations you will be responsible for an organization consisting of approximately 400 highly skilled employees.
The development capabilities includes Hardware development, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Electronic Design, Microwave and Antenna Design, Software Development, System Design, System Integration and test, ILS, System Safety, Simulators and Rigs.
You will be responsible for short and long term planning and management of the unit.
The main tasks will be:
* Resource and competence Management
* Processes and tools, Ways of working
* Research and Technology
* Design Authority of system, subsystems, building blocks and components resides within the Engineering organization
* Digital Transformation and improvements work
A success factor is the ability to interact and cooperate with other parts of the organization in EW Systems and in Saab, since the complexity of integrated EW systems requires efficient cross functional cooperation.
You will be measured on KPIs related to efficiency and effectiveness as well as innovation.

Relevant experience and background to be successful in this role:
* Appropriate professional or postgraduate qualification in a business oriented or technical discipline
* A solid experience of technical leadership
* Experience of product development
* Good knowledge in method, tools and ways of working
* Understanding and ability to work in an international environment and matrix organization.
* Skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions
* Experience in product development
* Strong drive, perseverance and ability to generate energy

The Business Unit EW systems is one of the world leaders in the EW area with product offers in all domains, Air, Naval and Land.
