About the jobIn this role you are the main responsible for turning Excillum's key technologies into new products ready for the market as well as maintaining our existing product line. You will lead and grow engineers in multidisciplinary teams of software, mechanical, electrical and systems engineering to fully unleash the team capacity. Working close to day-to-day operations you will further develop processes and best engineering way of working. Your strongest partnerships will be Head of Research, responsible for developing fundamental technology, and Head of Production, responsible for the efficient manufacturing of our products. With a strategic mindset and results-oriented approach you will also contribute to and drive for organizational and business growth. You will report to our CEO and be a member of the management team.
This is a position for someone who has learned best practices from an established manufacturing high-tech organization and who is equally passionate about engineering and leading people.
Qualifications to apply for this position- Minimum Master of Science in Engineering
• Solid technical background in physics/electrical/mechanical engineering
• Management experience
• Deep experience of product development, preferably of Electronics/Optics/X-ray products
• Proven people and project management skills
• Great collaborator and excellent communication skill
• Familiarity with development towards directives like machinery directive 2006/42/EC and Low voltage directive 2014/35/EU
