Foundational Products & Chapters is part of Technology, a new function within Volvo Group Digital & IT with a big stake in the Group's digital transformation. Technology will modernize Volvo's core digital backbone making it a platform for digital products.
Foundational Products & Chapters are responsible for API & Integration, DevSecOps, Cloud and Development Platforms. Our Foundational IT products are used by digital product teams and enable them and their products to outperform Volvo's competitors. Our digital talents develop capabilities and digital technologies to improve business performance and create value for the Group with speed and at scale.
We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in Group IT, with TD/BAs and Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together.
This is how you could make an impact
As Head of DevSecOps , you will be key in the execution of the Digital & IT Strategy. In this role, you will be an important contributor to the transformation of the IT landscape in Volvo Group. You will drive the shift to a modern, agile and cost-efficient delivery organization. You will be part of the Foundational Products & Chapters Management Team and report to the Head of Foundational Products & Chapters.
You nurture digital talents focused on DevSecOps and create an organization that is curious and hungry to learn; that takes pride in understanding the market and knows what good looks like.
Your team creates common platforms and DevSecOps capabilities to be used by products and development teams cross the Digital & IT community.
Driving the adoption of DevSecOps Practices across the Volvo Group, you are an active ambassador for Modern Software Development, inspiring teams to work according to the Software Development Lifecycle supported by automation and modern tools.
Building solid relationships with vendors and partners comes naturally to you giving you enabling you to be at the forefront of Modern Development practices and technology.
You ensure TestOps capabilities to increase quality of our products by providing End-to-end testing capabilities & test automation factories for Products & Development teams.
Building up Chapter capabilities in DevSecOps & Security Engineering, ensuring capacity to meet the needs of Products and Development Teams you will establish a community of Practice across the Volvo Group.
You are an inclusive leader that communicates at ease with your team of approximately 50 of dedicated and highly skilled professionals located in Europe and Asia.
Who are you?

To be successful in this position we believe you have a university degree or equivalent, and several years of experience from Leading people or leading leaders' positions, preferably in Software Development related positions:
The right candidate will be able to think and act strategically but also to operate and implement change tactically when required, dealing effectively with ambiguity and managing changing priorities. You should be passionate about driving strategic & technological transformation in a business focused, fact-based and collaborative way to achieve real impact. This role requires solid communication skills and a passion for leading, inspiring and developing people.

You should feel energized by working both independently and interdependently, have proven skills in cross-functional collaboration and thrive in managing, foster and enable both the perform and the transform angles of the job.
