We at Sambla Group are looking for a Head of Data Architect and Governance! Together with our Data team, you will be part of, and responsible for, the development and maintenance of our entire data infrastructure at Sambla Group. Our team drives the development of data pipeline, data warehouse, monitoring service and all other data related tasks.
You will work with modern cloud based technologies, such as GCP, BigQuery, dbt and Power BI. You will report to the Head of Data, and work closely with all departments of the business. Defining the data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, reference data such as product codes, dimensional categories, and master data. Translating business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, data cataloging, master data management and data warehouses/Lake. Clearly defined roles and responsibilities for data and Processes established for review (and escalation) of the data control environment.
The set of requirements we expect:
Strong interest in developing data solutions.
Proven experience in Data Warehousing, e.g. dimensional modeling, orchestration, monitoring and performance tuning.
Working experience in Python
Strong working skills in SQL, e.g. experience from CTEs, Window Functions, UDFs, Procedures etc.
Working experience in cloud technologies, e.g in GCP/AWS/Azure..
Working experience with version control e.g. Git.
Experience in team management desirable, communication, and presentation.
Policies and standards to control the quality, access and usage of data.
Not expected but nice if you have:
Technical skills in BI-tools such as Power BI/Qlik/Tableau/Looker etc.
Programming skills eg. javascript, Scala, Java or similar.
Experience with CI/CD
Data Cataloging (Tool for understanding the data we have. Map out data points we have and where they come from. Different ways of using it)
Master Data Management
Data Vault Modelling techniques
