Data is one of our most valuable assets and we work hard to leverage it across the organization. We've built a tech stack that supports a broad set of analytical use cases, using technologies such as Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Qlik Sense and NPrinting to serve the needs of our analysts, data scientists and business users.
As our Head of data, you will work to ensure that all our data assets are used in a way that maximizes the value for the organization, help our stakeholders make informed decisions and drive the data agenda in the company. You will work in very close collaboration with our development and analytics-driven teams and stakeholders from all functions at Qliro.
You will report to our Chief Operating Officer and have team leader responsibility for a team of three Big Data Engineers and one Senior Business Intelligence Architect
What you will do
You will be responsible for envisioning, planning and implementing our data strategies. We believe that you have extensive experience in the field and have the capacity to implement efficient processes to tackle challenges such as conforming data definitions, quality assurance, ensuring proper security and compliance is implemented as well as taking part in infrastructure discussions.
Tasks will include:
- Eliciting requirements for analytics from our internal stakeholders
- Planning, documenting and communicating a common understanding of our data and its usage
- Leading the data teams and ensuring that they have prerequisites to deliver value to the organization
- Ensuring that the analytics infrastructure meet business needs
- Ensuring proper implementation of security and compliance within our analytics solutions
- Communicating situation, progress and future plan with management team
- Assessing latest trends within data and analytics and bringing the best to Qliro
Who are we looking for?
We believe that you have:
- 5+ years of experience working within fields such as business intelligence, big data and/or analytics
- Strong administrative- as well as communicative skills. You put an equally high effort into documenting your work as you do in communicating with stakeholders
- Previous experience with envisioning, planning and executing successful data management strategies
- Experience from one or more leadership roles
- Previous experience from finance or similar industries
